Dramatic situation chinese cresteds dogs from Polish kennel!

29th December 2011 agents of Viva Fundation took 17 neglected chinese cresteds from kennel registered in the Polish Kennel Club. Dogs’ situation was really dramatic – 58 needed immediate help. In the middle of december our friends – Ekostraż – started intervention in this kennel – they took 14 dogs from breeder. We couldn’t stay neutral and see dogs’ suffering so we decided to take under our wings forgotten champions. Dogs are in temporary homes in Warsaw. Fight about animals’ lives still go on, next 20 dogs are waiting for receive!

In Wrocław, in famous kennel of chinese crested dogs for several months has been continuing a nightmare. Dogs, aforetime successfully showed in areas of world dogs shows, resident in really awful living conditions. 17th december 2011, volunteers of Ekostraż have discovered a frightening situation:
”Guardians of (…) pathological love for the breed, and later as a result of hopelessness, began to torture their 60 dogs (…) The breeders keep animals in inappropriate living conditions, in a state of a gross negligence and sloppy, without access to water, in the crush, on dark and cold floor in an unheated house. Dogs were deprived of veterinary care, inclusive the absence of mandatory vaccinations. Poorly-fed dogs were also able to neglect grooming care (their bodies were smearing in their own excrement) (…).

Younger dogs (under 1.5 year old) are not registered in Polish Kennel Club. Most of adult dogs’ tattoos are illegible – it’s impossible to identify these dogs.

Foundation Viva! was informed about the situation 25th december 2011, immediately started to looking for temporary homes for dogs. Immediately Viva! went to Wroclaw to take as many animals as they could. Breeder, for dogs’ welfare, decided to give up the rights to 17 cresteds.

31st december 2011 Viva! got an information that next 20 dogs are waiting to receive. Without your support it will be not able to help those kids. Foundation need financial support and kind gifts: leashes, blankets, collars, proper food. Dogs need special care, treatment, personal hygiene; some need support from zoo-psychologist. Without large-hearted people, it will be not able to save their lives- pick up next 20 dogs which waiting in breeding for rescue.
